Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has admitted that both he and Maurizio Sarri ‘think the same way about football, claiming that he may be happy to stay at west London club.
The Belgian has spent the last six-and-a-half years at the FA Cup holders, but the playmaker has been heavily linked with a switch to European Champions Real Madrid with less than 18 months left on his current deal.
However, the Belgium skipper has indicated that he enjoys playing under current manager Maurizio Sarri, who is known to favour playing possession football.
The 28-year-old superstar as like the Italian manager, they both like possession. In the past Chelsea used to play more counter-attack and now it is different from Maurizio Sarri than with Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.
Sometimes we keep possession, and I understand the fans want us to go forward, but it is part of the football. We are still learning about his concept. We are doing well. I like this kind of football.
Sarri is a great manager who proved his worth in Napoli after finishing in the second place in Serie A and failing to win the trophy after beating Juventus 1-0 with Kalidou Koulialy’s headers.
Eden Hazard admitted that the way former Napoli head coach thinks is the same way the Belgian understands football and their mutual opinion may be decisive for the Belgium star to stay at Stamford Bridge
Eden Hazard has contributed 12 goals, and ten assists in 24 Premier League matches this season.
