Gers footballer Greg Docherty wanted to remain at Ibrox in the summer, but he has struggled for playing time with Rangers this season. MacAnthony hinted in the summer that Posh were keen on the Gers man, but they were unable to bring him in from Rangers on that occasion.
Peterborough are still on the lookout for central midfielders though, and it could be that a move appeals more to the Scottish club in winter. Greg wanted to remain at Gers and fight for his place in Rangers in the summer, but he has failed to force his way into the Glasgow side’s starting plans.
And when asked whether Greg was still on Posh’s radar, MacAnthony’s answer was very cautious. Although Greg has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox, he could still be an excellent signing to Peterborough’s squad, as he has previously proven his worth in England.
Greg impressed on loan at Shrewsbury Town in League One last term, but Gerrard seemingly has reservations overusing him with any regularity. Greg has featured on only six occasions for the Gers all campaign so far, which suggests that his playing time at Rangers could be coming to an end.
