Gremio striker Everton Soares has refused to rule out a move to Manchester United amid rumours that Jose Mourinho is preparing a £30 million bid for him.
The 22-year-old is viewed as one of the most talented young forwards in Brazil and has caught the attention with a series of impressive displays this season, netting 17 goals in 43 matches for his side.
Everton Soares was rewarded with a call-up to the Brazil national team back in summer, and the youngster made his senior debut in September, playing against El Salvador and the United States.
Reports suggest Manchester United scouts have been monitoring the forward’s progress in his homeland as Jose Mourinho scours the market for players to support Romelu Lukaku in the attack at Old Trafford.
Asked about the speculation linking him with Premier League giants, Everton Soares, who signed a new deal with Gremio until December 2022, told SporTV: ‘We all hear the rumours at some point, right?
‘I’m going through an exceptional phase, and we know how hard it is when clubs from England look at Brazilian players, for their quality. ‘Let’s see what happens at the end of the season, wait until it is over, and see what’s best both for Gremio and me.’
