Wilfried Zaha has urged Crystal Palace to reach an agreement with Arsenal.
Earlier this year, the 26-year-old made it clear that he wants to play for a club in the Champions League but the Eagles valued their prized asset at £80 million.
Despite the Gunners’ failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League, Wilfried Zaha wants to join Unai Emery’s side and has told Palace’s board that he wants an agreement to be reached.
Crystal Palace, however, are hesitating to let Wilfried Zaha leave having already agreed a £50 million deal with Manchester United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Gunners, meanwhile, can only hope that Crystal Palace drastically reduce their asking price for Wilfried Zaha. Unai Emery has only £45 million to spend on new signings and the Ivorian ace is currently well out of their price range.
Unai Emery is keen for Arsenal’s board to dig deep and find funds that would finance a move for the Ivory Coast international.
The Premier League giants are also in talks with Celtic over Kieran Tierney, but the Scottish giants are holding out for a £25 million transfer fee while Arsenal tried two separate offers, but the answer was ‘no’ from the northern neighbours.
Now Arsenal are trying to sell Mesut Ozil and other inutile stars in the summer transfer window but find it hard to cash in on them as the European sides are rejecting to match the players’ wage demands and also Arsenal’s price tags for the out-of-favour stars.
