Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a swoop for Nice attacker Allan Saint-Maximin, who has seemingly responded to a fan urging him to join the Magpies on Instagram.

Newcastle United have been heavily linked with Saint-Maximin in recent times, and they appear to be close to getting the Ligue 1 winger now, as the Daily Mirror has reported.

Indeed, when questioned by a Newcastle supporter whether he would be joining, Allan Saint-Maximin did little to calm the rumours, as he responded with the eye emoji.

The screenshot posted on Twitter was questioned by Newcastle fans, who thought it could have been Photoshopped but the Magpies supporter then posted a screen recording, to seemingly prove the legitimacy of the conversation.

If Allan Saint-Maximin joins Newcastle, it will be an exciting addition to their side, as he is one of the most dangerous dribblers in Europe and considering how other clubs in the Premier League are bolstering their sides the Tyneside are doing less to calm their fans.

The club have signed Joelinton this transfer window, but if Steve Bruce does not add more talent, he will fail to develop an eye-catching attack at St. James’ Park which is essential to remain in the top flight.

Meanwhile, The Northern Echo has reported that the Tyneside are interested in luring Moussa Sissako away from French champions Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window as they are preparing to launch a bid in the coming days.
