Argentinian midfielder confirmed Arsenal interest

River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios has admitted that Arsenal have expressed an interest in his services.

Exequiel Palacios has made a positive impact during his early games with River Plate, and it has already led to international recognition with his country.

Real Madrid have been linked with the Argentina international – and the admiration has been confirmed by the 20-year-old player – but the midfielder has also said that Arsenal are keen on signing him this summer.

Exequiel Palacios is quoted by The Mirror as saying: “I’m proud clubs like Real Madrid and Arsenal are interested in me.”

The north London club would allegedly have to meet an £18 million release clause to sign the South American.

It remains to be seen if the Gunners will land the Argentian star while Unai Emery is desperate for his side to make signings as soon as possible with the Spanish manager urging board to land this summer targets.

Yannick Carasco has been linked with a move to Emirates with the Belgian forward currently playing in Chinese Super League and now wants to return to Europe and play at the top-class level.

The addition of the winger is essential for Unai Emery as the Spanish boss has been playing without a wideman, which is vital for his football style.

Reiss Nelson is expected to return from Hoffenheim in the summer after the Englishman was loaned to Bundesliga club and enjoyed a solid season under Julian Nagelsmann.
