Arsenal are in an advanced position to sign Nicolas Pepe from Lille next summer transfer window.
The attacker has been linked with many of Europe’s biggest clubs in recent weeks, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Barcelona having also been credited with an interest.
The Catalan giants are understood to see Nicolas Pepe as a possible replacement for Ousmane Dembele, while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are on the lookout for long-term replacements for Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.
However, Mercato365 claims that the Gunners are currently leading the race for the 23-year-old’s services and could make an official approach at the end of the season.
The north London club hopes of beating their rivals to Nicolas Pepe could rely on them securing Champions League football, though, having failed to finish in the top four in each of the past two seasons.
The Ivory Coast international has scored ten goals in 16 Ligue 1 games for Lille this season and is attracting more and more attention with Unai Emery’s side being touted as a potential destination for the winger since the summer transfer window.
