According to The Mirror, Arsenal weigh up a move for Porto star Yacine Brahimi, who is a free agent in the summer when his contract with the Portuguese giants runs out.

Moreover, the Gunners, Manchester United and Everton are understood to be among the clubs to have held initial talks with the versatile Algerian’s representatives.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old’s free agent status will increase his appeal to Emirates and manager Unai Emery who could see his close-season transfer budget reduced if the club misses out on a top-four finish.

Merseysiders rivals Everton are keeping tabs on Paris-born ace, who is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and on both flanks, too.

Inter Milan are also in the running for Yacine Brahimi and are believed to have already offered him a contract as he is now free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club.

Arsenal may need to hurry up as Manchester United may launch the move for the soon-to-be-free winger as Ed Woodward is not satisfied with the performances of Alexis Sanchez and several Manchester United attackers.
