Arsenal preparing to offer new contract to key right-back

Arsenal look set to offer Jordi Osei-Tutu a new deal but the youngster could still end up leaving for Bundesliga club as Hamburg have tabled an offer for the youngster.

Now, The Sun claims that the club are getting set to offer him a new contract while they work out what to do with him and Brentford and Celtic also want him on loan.

Osei-Tutu signed a new deal with the Premier League giants back in 2017 although it was never clear how long that tied him to the club for. As he has neither been released nor re-signed at present, we can assume it was for at least three seasons.

Arsenal signed Jordi Osei-Tutu from Reading back in 2015 for a fee of around £100,000 (and a significant sell-on clause also likely inserted in the deal).

With Freddie Ljungberg’s promotion to the first team, Arsenal fans can hope that he brings more detailed reports of Osei-Tutu’s talent.

It would be a real shame for the Gunners to lose yet another youngster packed full of promise as the 20-year-old has yet to make his debut for Arsenal but featured in the matchday squad when the right-back was on the bench for the two matches against Red Star in 17/18 and Vorskla in November.

The defender has also been named on the bench in two Premier League squads, one FA Cup and one League Cup but the manager only made one of those seven calls.
