Arsenal to bolster squad with signing 25-year-old creative midfielder

Hakim Ziyech was linked with a move to Arsenal to replace Mesut Ozil, who has just made just one appearance over the past six weeks, despite being fit and training with the teammates the entire time.

The Ajax star has been on fire this season, scoring 12 and assisting eight in 17 league matches. He averages a whopping 6.1 shots on goal per game in the Eredivisie.

Morocco international is a manager’s attacking dream as he poses a threat from direct free kicks, and he is also clinical on long-range shooting.

The former FC Twente man has been scouted heavily by top European sides, and Borussia Dortmund were seemingly close to signing the player in January but the Bundesliga leaders failed to sign him in the past transfer window.

Hakim Ziyech is one of the most creative attacking midfielders, so it’s no surprise he has high-profile suitors.

With Aaron Ramsey leaving and Mesut Ozil’s Arsenal career seemingly coming to an end, 25-year-old can perform the duties of both the departing figures but it is still hard to believe that Unai Emery has decided not to use the two top-class midfielders.

The Moroccan ace has the quality to play in the English top flight, and the Ajax star can take the entire Arsenal to the next level and enter the top-four easily but the club will need to strengthen the defensive department as current full-backs are worth nothing.

Arsenal did not manager to secure a clean sheet against Huddersfield Town which is surely a bad sign for the club.
