Transfer talk never seems to be far away from Rangers centre-forward Alfredo Morelos, and there’s a link to Premier League club Aston Villa which has resurfaced this week. Colombia international has been in red-hot form for Gers this campaign, leading the club’s scoring charts with 14 goals in only 19 matches.
His form was always going to attract interest, and with his temperament seemingly under control. The news outlet has published three stories this week on Alfredo, suggesting that these are links the Aston Villa fans are lapping up.
The first concerned comments from Jonatan Johansson about Morelos’ hunger for the game and the centre-forward’s progression. There was then a story about comments made by Steven Gerrard regarding Morelos’ happiness at Rangers.
So while much of this might just be riding the wave of speculation in the wake of ambiguous reports, the conversation about Colombian striker’s future is beginning to intensify. Links to Aston Villa is excellent news for the footballer.
A Premier League side with cash to burn, they’re very light upfront with first-choice centre-forward Wesley Moraes shouldering much of the goalscoring responsibility for his new team.
