Chelsea are ready to turn to AC Milan flop Andre Silva in their search for a new striker to replace departing star Alvaro Morata.
The Portugal international netted just two Serie A goals for Milan last campaign before being shipped out on loan to Sevilla in the summer transfer window.
After missing out on other targets to replace the ineffective Alvaro Morata, however, The Sun claims that Andre Silva has now been targeted by the Blues.
The Portuguese ace scored just ten goals in 40 games overall for the Rossoneri, but he has fared better during his half-season in Spanish football with eight goals in 17 La Liga matches.
The report adds that Premier League giants may offer Alvaro Morata to Sevilla so that the Spanish side end Silva’s loan early, allowing the London outfit to negotiate terms with AC Milan over a January move.
Chelsea are desperate to add a striker to the squad, but they need A-class centre-forward like Edinson Cavani or Gonzalo Higuain rather than going for a flop like Andre Silva.
The Blues are struggling in the box, and they need a pure goal machine not an average striker.
