Tottenham Hotspur have entered the running for Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa, who has been on Chelsea’s radar but was also strongly linked with rivals duo Manchester City and Manchester United in recent days.
Despite Fiorentina valuing the Italy international at £70 million, The Sun reports that Mauricio Pochettino has put him at the top of his transfer wishlist.
The 21-year-old, who can play central or out wide, is believed to be keen on a move to London and had originally been holding out for contact from the Blues.
Due to the FA Cup holders’ transfer ban, however, their city rivals could now pounce at the end of the campaign.
The report also adds that Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan will attempt to reach an agreement with Fiorentina and the player before the interest from overseas captures the Italian rising star.
Milan legend Filippo Inzaghi has stated that whole continent will soon talk about Federico Chiesa, whos preferred position is a right winger but can be deployed in the middle of the left flank.
The youngster has scored 11 goals this season and managed to gather eight assists so far while attracting interest from all over the Britania.
Chelsea were understood to sign the Italian as Maurizio Sarri is keen on signing Serie A players for the Blues, but since Chelsea wrapped up £56 million deal for Christian Pulisic in the January transfer window, there is no longer a vacancy for the right winger.
Willian, Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi will provide competition for the USA international at that position.
