Fenerbahce are keen to follow up on their capture of Victor Moses from Chelsea with a move for Blues midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
The Nigerian winger completed his loan move to the Turkish giants on Saturday, with the 28-year-old penning a deal with Fenerbahce until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Turkish side have also launched an enquiry to see whether it would be possible to sign Danny Drinkwater before the January transfer window closes.
The 28-year-old has not featured for the Blues since the Community Shield back in August.
Last week, it was claimed that the FA Cup holders had ‘received no January offers’ for Danny Drinkwater, who was signed from Leicester City’s Premier League winning side back in August 2017.
But no one knows why the England international was signed as Antonio Conte did not use the midfielder att all while the club spent £35 million on his transfer and now Antonio Conte’s successor Maurizio Sarri is also abstaining from using the Englishman.
Danny Drinkwater earns £100,000 per week, and his salary is a stumbling block for the Blues to sell or loan the midfielder.
