Chelsea keen on signing €35m-rated African playmaker

According to Suddeutsche Zeitung, Chelsea are keen on signing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax this summer.

The Premier League giants are believed to be among a host of sides from across Europe who have expressed their admiration of the Morocco international, who is enjoying yet another impressive in the Eredivisie.

From 25 matches in the top tier of Dutch football, Hakim Ziyech has found the back of the net on 15 occasions and has also chipped in with a further 15 assists for his club.

The Blues could be on the lookout for added creativity during the upcoming transfer window, with Eden Hazard’s future under scrutiny as Real Madrid continue to eye a deal.

The possible exit of the 28-year-old winger could pave the way for the African to arrive, but Chelsea may face stiff competition from elsewhere.

According to Suddeutsche Zeitung, Bayern Munich are willing to sign the €35 million-rated playmaker, while Premier League trio Arsenal, Everton and Leicester City are also interested.

Chelsea were also linked with a move for £70 million-rated winger Nicolas Pepe who is actively persuaded by Arsenal as the London rivals are also desperate to add a winger to their squad.

Nicolas Pepe is having a sublime season in France and has earned links with European giants, and it only remains to be seen which club will win the bidding war and where the player wants to go.

Premier League or Bundesliga would be an update for the winger and a boost to improve his game and develop.
