Chelsea are considering a swap deal with Napoli which would see unsettled Andreas Christensen join the Serie A side in exchange for Elseid Hysaj moving in the opposite direction.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is believed to have recommended Elseid Hysaj to the club, having previously managed the full-back at Empoli and Napoli.
Maurizio Sarri is willing to reunite with the Albania international at west London too, and Calciomercato says that he would be willing to consider using Andreas Christensen as part of any deal.
The Denmark international has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in January having found himself heavily down the pecking order since the arrival of former Napoli boss at the club.
The Dane is yet to make a single Premier League appearance this campaign and has previously hinted at his resentment at the current situation.
Napoli could be more open to the idea of losing Elseid Hysaj if they can secure another defender in exchange, particularly amid growing speculation over the future of centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
Serie A side are understood to have rejected a £90m bid from Manchester United for the defender.
