Sevilla are understood to be readying a loan offer for out-of-favour Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko.
La Liga outfit will look to offer the Blues £5 million to secure a season-long loan deal for the France international, who has spent last campaign out on loan in Italy with AC Milan, with the Serie A giants having the option to sign the player permanently for £35 million.
However, the Rossoneri opted against making the move a permanent one, and the 24-year-old looks set to return to the Bridge over the summer.
Chelsea’s managerial issues may play a key role in where the holding midfielder plies his trade next campaign.
Maurizio Sarri was not a fan of the powerhouse midfielder and was happy for him to leave on loan last year.
If the Italian tactician remains in the British capital, the Frenchman would more than likely be allowed to depart.
However, if Maurizio Sarri completes a return back to Serie A with the champion club, a new man in the Stamford Bridge dugout may want to assess Tiemoue Bakayoko before making the final say.
That being said, it appears as if Sevilla will approach Chelsea in the coming weeks over a possible deal.
Javi Gracia is on the radar after his impressive season with Watford, leading them to a first FA Cup final in 35 years.
Frank Lampard is considered as the favourite to replace Maurizio Sarri should he depart. The Blues legend enjoyed a great first season in management, coming agonisingly close to guiding Derby County back to the top-flight.
