Chelsea are ready to accept Bayern Munich’s offer for Callum Hudson-Odoi if they agree to insert a buy-back clause into the deal.
The Bundesliga champions have made no secret of their wish to bring the youngster to Bavaria and have already made four bids, the latest to be £35 million.
The Blues want to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi but are conscious that he only has 18 months remaining on his current deal and has threatened not to extend his deal if Bayern’s offer is turned down.
But The Times claims Chelsea are now set to let the 18-year-old move to the Bavarians on the condition that a buy-back clause is included in the deal. The German side are reluctant to agree to these demands and know full well how much Callum Hudson-Odoi’s value could explode if he takes the Bundesliga by storm.
Chelsea are understood to be unhappy with Bayern Munich for talking about their interest in the Englishman publically, with Maurizio Sarri agitated at his press conference on Friday. ‘I think it is not professional,’ he said.
‘They are talking about a player under contract with Chelsea, so they didn’t respect our club I think. I am very happy with the player, he is improving a lot.’
