Denis Suarez responded to Unai Emery’s decision to limit his minutes

January arrival Denis Suarez has hinted that he wants to remain at Emirates beyond the end of the current campaign.

The midfielder arrived on loan from Barcelona last month and was reunited with Unai Emery with whom he won Europa League during their time together at Spanish club Sevilla.

Despite injuries to the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Danny Welbeck, Denis Suarez has been made to wait for his first start having made only four substitute appearances thus far.

Despite a slow start to life in England, the Spaniard insists he is determined to become ‘an important’ player for the Gunners amid reports that the Catalan giants will demand £17 million from the Premier League giants if they want to keep the versatile midfielder permanently.

Even when Mesut Ozil is benched the 24-year-old midfielder still fails to enter the starting lineup, and it can be assumed that Unai Emery will ease him in the first eleven as he did with Lucas Torreira.

‘I aim to be a success here, perform well and feel important,’ Denis Suarez told the club’s YouTube channel.

The Spaniard intends to become a key player for the club he joined in the winter transfer window and wants to get a lot of playing time, but at the same time, he knows that it is a tough challenge.

The versatile midfielder added that Unai Emery made him a football player when he joined Sevilla and was a prospect.
