Everton enter the race to sign 23-year-old Ligue 1 centre-forward

Toffees are reportedly ready to rival Man United for the transfer of Lyon centre-forward Moussa Dembele as they keep tabs on him ahead of winter. U21 France international looks a top talent who could shine at a bigger club and in a more competitive league after a promising start to his career so far.

Moussa initially caught the eye in spells at Fulham and Celtic, and he’s now continuing his prolific form with the Les Gones, having scored five goals in four matches this campaign, after hitting 20 in all tournaments the last term. Moise Kean joined Everton from Juventus last summer.

Dembele linked with the Red Devils, and now Everton could also be suitors for the 23-year-old striker after their poor start to the campaign. Marco Silva ready to spend considerable money on the striker during the summer transfer window.

It seems clear both these sides could benefit from having more firepower upfront after their recent struggles, and French centre-forward seems a perfect solution. Moussa would likely cost nearly £40m, which could be a bargain in this market if he can take his form with him to the Premier League.
