Ajax attacker Quincy Promes has admitted he is ‘open’ to a Premier League move in the future. The Netherlands international impressed in his side’s extraordinary 4-4 draw against Chelsea in midweek, scoring and assisting at London.
Arsenal, Toffees and Liverpool have all been previously linked with a move for Quincy, and his performance against the London club will have impressed the trio of teams. Chelsea trailed 4-1 in the second half but produced a stunning comeback to score three unanswered goals and snatch a point.
Blues thought they had scored a late winner through captain Cesar Azplicueta to seal all three points, but VAR ruled that there was a handball in the build-up to the goal. The game started poorly for Blues when Tammy Abraham put through his own goal after only two minutes, but Jorginho equalised several minutes later from the penalty spot.
Promes joined the Eredivisie giants from Sevilla in the summer for £14m, but with the winter transfer window looming he has admitted he would be interested in a move to the PL. The 27-year-old winger, who has scored eight goals in 12 Eredivisie matches for the Dutch league leaders, is contracted to Jews until 2024.
