Italian giants open to selling £41m-rated winger to Arsenal

Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi are both available for summer move this transfer window, with Arsenal and Manchester United leading the running to sign the pair.

The Argentine striker has fallen out dramatically with Serie A giants chiefs and was stripped of the captaincy at the club.

Despite his public row with the club, the South American remains one of the most coveted attackers in Europe – with Real Madrid among the sides willing to sign him – and has still notched in 17 goals in 31 matches.

The World Cup finalist Ivan Perisic, meanwhile, was very close to joining the Gunners in the winter transfer window.

The Croatia international handed in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move and the Italian giants are willing to let him leave in the upcoming transfer window.

The North London outfit are understood to be keen to revive a deal, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, and it is possible that both players could be turning out in the Premier League next year.

Inter head coach Luciano Spalletti is also expected to be shown the door, with Serie A club facing a battle to secure Champions League football as they currently sit two points above arch-rivals AC Milan – who they clashed yesterday in Milan derby and secured a 3-2 victory.

Ivan Perisic would be a great addition for Arsenal who are desperate to land a winger in the summer transfer window and the club have been urged by former midfielder Robert Pires to move for Rennes’ wonderkid Ismaila Sarr.
