La Liga forward demanding wage increase amid Chelsea transfer interest

Chelsea transfer target Pablo Sarabia is demanding a wage increase, with the Sevilla attacker yet to agree to a new deal.

The 26-year old winger will see his contract with the Rojiblancos expire in the summer of 2020, and La Liga giants are keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal.

The Andalusian side are confident that a deal can still be struck, with the intention of increasing Spaniard’s surprising low release clause up from €18 million, according to Calciomercato.

Maurizio Sarri’s team will be buoyed by Pablo Sarabia’s request for a higher salary, with Chelsea certainly able to spend more on wages than the La Liga side.

However, the FA Cup holders face competition from a host of top European sides for his services, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to have a long-term interest in the Spaniard while Santiago Solari is a known admirer of the Sevilla key man.

It is unlikely from Real Madrid to activate Pablo Sarabia’s clause as Los Blancos are well-equipped in attacking department.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are ready to spend £105 million Joao Felix if Eden Hazard leaves the club in the summer, which is likely to happen the next transfer window and the Blues are already eyeing a move for the proper replacement.

But the Portuguese is only 19 years old, and Premier League giants will surely be reluctant to sign the teenager on such a high transfer fee but many say that the youngster is ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’.
