Real Madrid are looking to beat Liverpool to Eder Militao by making him their primary transfer target.
The 20-year-old is being touted as one of the hottest talents in European football, having arrived from his hometown team Sao Paulo over the summer window.
Eder Militao has only made 12 league appearances for Portuguese giants, but his displays have been good enough to earn himself his first cap for the national side, which he picked up in September 2018.
Many of the world’s top sides are now circling for his services and, according to Marca, Real Madrid have made the Porto defender their ‘main objective’.
The versatile full-back, who can operate at right-back, centre-back or in midfield, has a €42m (£37.8m) release clause. However, the Spanish publication reports that this only runs until 31 January and in the summer starting in June it will rise to €50m (£45m).
Porto are unlikely to want to let the Brazil international go in January. However, they have re-signed centre-back Pepe on a two-and-a-half-year deal after he was released from his contract at Turkish side Besiktas. The return of the Portugal captain could be seen as preparation for one of Europe’s giants meeting the South American’s release clause.
