Liverpool battle European giants to sign £50m-rated Germany international

Liverpool will have to fight off competition from Real Madrid and Juventus if they wish to sign Julian Brandt, who has scored seven times and contributed 14 assists in 38 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

Liverpool have recently been linked with a swoop for Julian Brandt, although the Germany international has revealed that he will not decide on his future until the end of the campaign.

According to Bild, the Merseysiders are planning to press ahead with a move, but Juventus and Real Madrid are also in the hunt for a player who is understood to have a £21.6 million release clause in his current contract.

Julian Brandt – a 24-time Germany international – has netted 39 times in 210 matches for his club since making his first-team debut for the Bundesliga giants back in 2014.

Liverpool were also linked with a swoop for Julian Brandt’s compatriot Timo Werner who does not want to stay at RB Leipzig and wants to change the club in the summer and is ready to move either to Bayern Munich or leave Germany.

The Reds have enquired the striker several times in the past, and now the 22-year-old has stated that he does not intend signing a new contract at the club, and they are forced to sell him rather than lose for nothing.

Liverpool are in perfect form this year, and if they manage to add German duo in the upcoming transfer window, then Jurgen Klopp’s team will be upgraded seriously for the next season.
