Liverpool boss declines rumours of selling £43m-rated midfielder

Jurgen Klopp is baffled by claims that Fabinho, who only joined Liverpool from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco during the summer transfer window, could leave the club in January.

Fabinho cost the Reds in the region of £40 million but has initially struggled to cement a place in the starting lineup.

The 25-year-old midfielder has only made four Premier League appearances for the Reds this season, however, and it has been reported that AC Milan are considering a January approach for the Brazil international

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Liverpool would be ready to sell the midfielder if it meant that they would be able to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the German boss has no intention of allowing the summer arrival to leave and is confused by the latest reports while the South American has featured in each of Liverpool’s last four Premier League matches.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic is actively linked with Chelsea who are understood to have won the race for the US international and are finalising the £70 million deal with beating off the competition from the Merseyside giants.
