Liverpool centre-forward to end loan and return to Anfield

Taiwo Awoniyi joined Gent on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window and the Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool-owned centre-forward will leave the Belgian giants.

Taiwo Awoniyi joined the Buffalos on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool in the summer.

It has been claimed that the 21-year-old will leave Gent and will agreed on a new loan deal with another club.

Taiwo Awoniyi has been on the books of Premier League giants since 2015 when he joined from Imperial Academy in Nigeria for a transfer fee £400,000.

The Nigeria Under-23 international has struggled to break into the Liverpool starting lineup, and Gent are the fourth outfit he has been on loan at since his move to Anfield.

Given how strong the Reds are in attack, the youngster could struggle to make a mark in the first-team right away.

And if he is to end his loan spell at Gent, perhaps a move to a club in the lower end of the Premier League or to a team in the Championship on loan for the rest of the campaign will be helpful.
