Liverpool forward open to joining Premier League rivals

Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho prefers a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers rather than returning to former side Sporting Lisbon.

The 18-year-old forward, who spent five years in the Portuguese side’s academy, is understood to have turned down the offer of a new deal at Anfield and is looking for a move away this summer transfer window.

Wolves and Sporting Lisbon have both been strongly linked and, according to Portuguese news outlet O Jogo, Rafael Camacho wants to stay in England and prove himself.

The teenager has featured regularly for the Merseysiders’ Under-23s side this term, with his only first-team start coming in the 2-1 FA Cup defeat at Molineux back in January.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are understood to bolster their squad this summer, and they are believed to be close to breaking their transfer record for Marseille ace Morgan Sanson.

It is understandable why Liverpool youngster is frustrated, and he went to Twitter to reveal his disappointment and hinted that he is not utilised properly in the 23s side.

It is almost impossible to replace Mo Salah or Sadio Mane in the starting lineup at Anfield as they are at the peak of their forms and are looking to hold the spot for many seasons.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are trying to lure the Senegal international to Santiago Bernabeu, and if Sadio Mane leaves Anfield then, that may be the chance for Rafael Cmachoto fight for a pace in the starting lineup.
