Chelsea star Eden Hazard rubbed salt into the wounds of Arsenal fans following the Blues’ 3-2 win at Stamford Bridge.
Marcos Alonso’s late goal, which Hazard set-up, gave the Blues all three points after they threw away a two-goal lead in the first half.
The win puts Chelsea at the top of the table after just two matches in the Premier League but there are encouraging signs that the team are implementing Maurizio Sarri’s ideas in west London.
‘Hi guys it’s Eden Hazar at Stamford Bridge we are here just after the derby,’ said Hazard. ‘You know London is Blue, so see you next week in Newcastle.’
Pedro and Alvaro Morata put Chelsea 2-0 up within 20 minutes but Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan drew Arsenal level before half-time.
Hazard was introduced with half an hour to go at Stamford Bridge and skipped Alexandre Lacazette down the left to cross for Alonso to score.
