Man City enter the race to sign €60m-rated Spain international

Man City will return to Real Sociedad in their reignited hopes of signing the attacker, Mikel Oyarzabal. The Spanish tactician was said to be interested in the 22-year-old playmaker in the summer, as a possible replacement for the departing Citizens legend David Silva.

Mikel has hit impressive heights in the past two campaign, scoring 25 goals as well as earning his first call up to the national side in summer. In his debut against Sweden, Oyarzabal also got himself onto the scoresheet, further proving his ability in that department.

Recent quotes from Spain international seem to suggest he is keen to remain at Sociedad for the next few years; “I see myself playing for La Real for many years, I only think of La Real. I feel comfortable, loved and wanted.” Spanish attacker has contracted with the La Liga club until 2024, and his release clause is around €60m.

This campaign has seen him start with fantastic numbers, scoring four goals in his first eight matches and there is no doubt he could bring quality in abundance to Man City if a move was to come to fruition. Citizens ready to spend considerable money on the playmaker during the summer transfer window.
