Man City have had a pretty rough start to the season. The defending champions of Premier League are currently third in the table and are trailing league leaders Liverpool by a whopping nine points. So they need to recover during the second half of the campaign, and they will likely look to bolster in the upcoming winter transfer window.
One footballer Man City should keep an eye on is Timo Werner. Sergio Aguero is, without a doubt, one of the most successful centre-forwards in Premier League history. Since joining from Atletico Madrid, the Argentine striker has consistently scored goals in the English top-flight, and the fact that he is getting old hasn’t deterred his displays at all.
It has, however, taken a huge toll on his fitness. He was always an injury-prone attacker, and in recent years, he has suffered from four different spells on the sidelines, including a knee injury last campaign that kept him out for a total of more than two months.
Aguero is, in fact, currently out injured and has even been ruled out for the Manchester derby. Werner is a regular member of the national team line-up which is already a big achievement for the centre-forward.
