Man City interested in signing Real Zaragoza centre-forward, Luis Carbonell. They have a big piece on Spaniard today and explain that, while the 16-year-old centre-forward is yet to start his career, his name is already one many are excited about.
Luis is viewed as the crown jewel as far as Spanish club are concerned, and they intend to ensure there are no bad steps in his development. First and foremost they’ve already signed Carbonell up to a deal until 2023 that not just includes a €1.5m release clause but also ensures that price will rise to €2m this year and €3m by 2023.
That contract was to ensure they didn’t lose Luis on the cheap because Blaugrana were already sniffing around and thinking about signing Luis up. They are not the only ones, with Atlético Madrid, Espanyol, Valencia and Man City all also having him on their ‘agenda’.
None of those clubs have made an offer for Luis yet, but the day will come when a bid will arrive, and it will leave a ‘huge amount’ in the club’s coffers. Whether that bid ever comes from Cityzens stays to be seen.
