Manchester City, Tottenham, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all keeping close tabs on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s situation this summer.
The midfielder has firmly established himself as one of the top talents in Italy, netting 31 goals and providing 18 assists in 162 games for Lazio.
Coupled with his tenacity and physicality, he offers something both in a defensive capacity as well as in the attack, and that in turn has made him a key figure for Simone Inzaghi’s team, albeit he did experience a quiet season last year as the 24-year-old did not quite perform at his best on a consistent basis.
Nevertheless, that seemingly has not been enough to lower the interest levels in signing him this summer, as a string of European heavyweights hold an interest in him.
It’s added that it will take more than €80 million to convince Serie A side to sell though, which in turn means that any club willing to prise him away from Stadio Olimpico this window will need to dig deep into their pockets to secure the move.
Manchester City have signed Rodri and Cancelo, Tottenham landed Tanguy N’Dombele and Giocani Le Celso while Juventus have snapped up both Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot on free transfers.
Manchester City would surely benefit from the Serbia international’s presence at the midfield, but it can be argued if the Citizens need to sign him.
The Serie A star will have to replace departing star David Silva in the centre, but the English champions have already been linked with a move for Isco, who would surely be a better option.
