Man United enter race for £40m-rated Brazilian playmaker

Liverpool-linked Lucas Paqueta is also a target for arch-rivals Manchester United, and the Brazilian could be on the move in January.

Lucas Paqueta is a player that would be perfect for the Reds playing style, with his energy and never-say-die attitude ideal for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The South American considered to be one of the replacements for unsettled superstar Paul Pogba who is thinking about switching sides in the upcoming transfer window.

The 21-year-old recently made his international debut and has been linked with Manchester City also for a while now, but new reports from France claim that Manchester United are ready to make a hard push for the Flamengo ace.

Le10 Sport claims that Paris Saint-Germain and the Red Devils will be the sides to push hardest to sign Lucas Paqueta in the January transfer window while AC Milan and Barcelona also hold an interest.

All the interested parties need to act fast to sign the highly-rated midfielder as reports suggest that his current club Flamengo plan on handing him a new bumper contract which would increase his current release clause of £40 million up to £69 million.
