Man United launched €40m to land Spanish versatile midfielder

Manchester United have lodged a €40 million offer to land Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo.

The 21-year-old ace was one of Spain’s top performers as he helped his nation win the European Under-21 Championship previous month.

The £35 million-rated midfielder netted three goals during the competition and was named man of the match for his performance in the final as Spain beat Germany to lift the trophy.

Dani Olmo has attracted interest from Manchester United, and the Red Devils are willing to spend £35 million to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford.

The report also adds that the youngster has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, alongside German giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are in the market for a new midfielder following the exit of Ander Herrera, and the Spanish star represents a versatile option for the Norwegian manager as he is capable of playing on both flanks, as well as through the middle of the park

Dani Olmo joined Barcelona’s academy when he was nine years old but joined Dinamo Zagreb as part of the swap deal which saw Alen Halilovic move to Camp Nou back in 2015.

Dani Olmo has netted 17 goals and registered 15 assists in 71 league matches for Dinamo while the midfielder also won the best player and best young player awards for his displays for the club in the Croatian First Football League last term.
