Ander Herrera is set for a shock switch away from Old Trafford this summer after being offered a £150,000-a-week contract to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spaniard – whose contract expires in the summer -was understood to have agreed a deal in principle to stay at Manchester United but he has now made a dramatic U-turn after talks with the French champions.
With no transfer fee to pay, Paris Saint-Germain can offer the former Athletic Bilbao star a bumper pay packet, and he is anticipated to sign a three-year deal at Parc des Princes, according to The Sun.
The 29-year-old has impressed since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s return to the club, and he was understood to be a crucial part of his plans.
However, he may be forced to replace him in the summer if Ander Herrera signs on the dotted line with Les Bleus. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could turn to Ligue 1 giants to find a replacement for the outgoing Spaniard – who signed for Manchester United for £29 million five years ago – and is thought to be keen on landing Adrien Rabiot.
The box-to-box midfielder has fallen out with club chiefs and is available on a free transfer in the summer, and there is no doubt that the Frenchman will leave PSG in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United were also linked with a move for Portuguese sensation Bruno Fernandes who has scored impressive 22 goals in this season for Sporting Lisbon and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to have him for the future.
