Manchester United weigh up an offer for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to strengthen his midfield options for next season.
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have retained an interest in Adrien Rabiot and could try and sign him once his deal with the French champions expires at the end of next month.
The 24-year-old midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou. However, their signing of Frenkie De Jong from Ajax means it is unlikely they will now move for the Frenchman, who Rabiot has been linked with a host of other clubs.
Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all having been credited with transfer interest in him in recent months.
Manchester United’s failure to secure Champions League football hampered their efforts to sign Adrien Rabiot who will have no shortage of offers when he becomes a free agent.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to revamp his team following a dismal end to the campaign and is on the lookout for midfielders following the exits of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera.
Adrien Rabiot, a left-footed deep-lying playmaker, has been earmarked as a possible replacement for Nemanja Matic who may be allowed to depart when his contract expires.
The PSG academy graduate is set for the departure from the Ligue 1 champions having fallen out spectacularly with Thomas Tuchel and chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Adrien Rabiot has not played since December and was banished from first-team training earlier this year.
