Man United to agree terms with £120,000-a-week midfielder

According to The Sun, Ander Herrera, who earns around £120,000-a-week, looks set to agree a new contract with the club after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, convinced him that he has a future at Old Trafford.

In the last season, the former Athletic Bilbao man only started 13 games in the Premier League for the Red Devils under Mourinho. Moreover, this season, he just started six league games in the reign of the Portuguese manager.

Fortunately, things have positively changed for him since the arrival of the Norwegian boss under whose management, the Spaniard has started three of the four Premier League games so far.

His form has been impressive as well. In these starts, Ander Herrera has directly contributed in three goals (one goal and three assists).

In the previous transfer window, Manchester United splashed £50 million to sign Brazilian ace Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

However, the Selecao star has so far failed to shine at the Theatre of Dreams, and hence, he has mainly been a bench warmer. In such a situation, Ander Herrera has got his chance and impressed recently.

The 29-year-old could be replaced with a more dynamic midfielder, like Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey.
