Manager opened door for Arsenal to sign £30m midfielder

Arsenal are heavily linked with Ryan Fraser, who could be on the move this summer if no new contract is agreed.

The Gunners have seen a transfer door leading to the midfielder left open by Eddie Howe with the manager conceding that the Scotland international could be on the move this summer.

The 25-year-old is among those said to be figuring prominently on Unai Emery’s recruitment wish list and as a home-grown talent with Premier League experience, the Scot ticks plenty of boxes for Arsenal.

Ryan Fraser is also only tied to a contract at Dean Court until 2020 and is yet to commit to fresh terms.

The attack-minded midfielder has already revealed to being flattered by the links to a “massive club” like Arsenal and Eddie Howe is aware that his side may have to sanction a sale in the next window.

“We have spoken to Ryan and his representatives about his contract. It’s one where we will see what happens,” said the head coach.

“He is an outstanding talent, but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let’s wait and see.”

Ryan Fraser has contributed six goals and ten assists to Bournemouth’s Premier League cause this yea and has also found the target for the first time for Scotland.

It is those exploits which are attracting interest from the Gunners and could see him lured away from the south coast and Unai Emery would surely enjoy having the services of Ryan Frase at him.
