Milan enter the race to sign £100,000-a-week Tottenham centre-back

AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Jan Vertonghen in the summer. The 32-year-old centre-back has been a key figure for Tottenham since joining them from Ajax, amassing 13 goals and seven assists in 307 games across all tournaments so far.

Rossoneri are eyeing a move for Jan in the summer. This report also claims that Vertonghen has attracted interest from Ajax and Juventus as well. Belgium international has played 22 games for the Spurs this campaign so far, scoring a goal with Wolves while providing an assist with Burnley.

The Belgian centre-back is still capable of producing good performances. Tottenham might try to tie him down to a new deal, but if he doesn’t do so and leaves the London club in the summer, there will be clubs interested in signing him. Stefano Pioli wants to strengthen the back-line during the summer transfer window.

A defender of Jan Vertonghen’s experience would be pretty useful for the Italian club if they are to have a chance of securing a Champions League berth in next campaign’s Serie A. Rossoneri have terrible consequences in the Serie A this campaign as they are in a 7th place in the table.
