Newcastle United can sign Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Jetro Willems for a fee of under £6m next summer upon the end of his loan spell with the club. The deal has already been agreed with Frankfurt should Magpies decided to sign him permanently.
The Netherlands international joined Newcastle United on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has scored once in the Premier League so far. Jetro has shown plenty of promise since joining the Magpies on loan and has more to offer as a wing-back.
Willems has quick feet and a turn of pace that is useful on the counter-attack. His assist for Matty Longstaff against Man United illustrated that perfectly, as he was able to sprint up the pitch before cutting back and laying the ball off for the 25-year-old defender to strike.
If he can continue to turn in good performances for Newcastle United this campaign then around £6m would be an incredible price for the Dutch left-back. With some of the fees you see in the Premier League these days, it could undoubtedly be considered a bargain price when you think Jetro’s experience in the Bundesliga and Holland.
