Not Bakayoko: Chelsea midfielder desperate to leave club for Serie A

Chelsea loanee Mario Pasalic wants to stay at Italian club Atalanta beyond the summer.

The midfielder joined La Dea on loan with an option to buy last summer, and his wish is to stay at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia also in the coming seasons.

Serie A side can make his move permanent for €15 million in the summer transfer window and the versatile midfielder hopes the Serie A side will activate their option to purchase: “I changed six clubs in the last six years, and I am really happy in Bergamo,” the player told Tuttosport.

The 24-year-old has been playing for boyhood club Hajduk, Spanish outfit Elche, French and Italian giants Monaco and AC Milan, Russian side Spartak Moscow and the midfielder’s latest destination at the moment is Atalanta, who are battling for the Champions League spot.

Mario Pasalic has four goals and seven assists in 28 matches in all competitions so far this term, and after his loan spell at AC Milan, he returned to Italy where he is doing very well with Atalanta.

The Croatian star hopes his future will be in Black-and-Blue and not in Blues as he knows that the challenge in the middle of the part at Maurizio Sarri’s side is way more competitive, so it will be a wise decision to stay in Italy.

And Atalanta may qualify for the Champions League, while Chelse do not have guaranteed a spot in the Premier League’s top-four with the Europa League competition being highly competitive.
