Manchester City will revive their interest in signing Dani Alves after the defender became a free agent this transfer window.
The Brazilian defender, who has won a remarkable 40 trophies in his career, is now available to buy for free after his two-year deal at Paris Saint-Germain expired last month.
Dani Alves enjoys an excellent relationship with Pep Guardiola after their successful time at Camp Nou, with the former even claiming that being coached by the Spanish manager was “better than sex”.
Dani Alves is set to return to Europe to listen to offers from two sides, although it is not known if Manchester City are among the interested clubs.
Pep Guardiola has emphasised securing another right-back this summer to put higher pressure on first-choice defender Kyle Walker.
The Premier League winners recently broke their transfer record to land Atletico Madrid midfield star Rodri for £62.8 million, and have also captured left-back Angelino and shot-stopper Zack Steffen so far in this transfer window.
But it was claimed that the Citizens are losing the race for Joao Cancelo with the Portugal international preferring to move to Barcelona with his agent Jorge Mendes favouring the move to Catalan giants due to his good relationship with the La Liga giants board.
Also, Manchester City are ready to fight for the services of Bruno Fernandes with the midfielder repeatedly linked with bitter rivals United during the summer transfer window.
