According to The Sun, Leicester City are interested in signing Mohamed Elneny from Arsenal in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Gunner are willing to part ways with the Egypt international, with Unai Emery’s side looking for £15 million for the out-of-favour midfielder.
Mohamed Elneny has been forced out of the Arsenal team following the additions of Mattéo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira, and the Foxes are now said to be looking to capitalise on the African’s situation by bringing him to King Power Stadium.
Leicester City already have some strong options in central midfield, but the Arsenal star could provide them with even more energy.
The Egyptian has proven to be a solid Premier League player during his time at Emirates under Arsene Wenger, and he could add steel to Claude Puel’s squad if he joined.
Leicester City are currently in 10th place in the Premier League, with the Foxes looking to push on over the second half of the season.
It was also reported that the Gunners plan to activate the £18 million release clause of La Liga midfielder Pablo Fornals.
