Rangers closely monitoring 19-year-old Championship midfielder

Gers have been linked with bringing Conor Gallagher to Ibrox. Scottish club target U21 England international will be recalled by Blues as his time with Charlton Athletic comes to an end. It’s claimed that Chelsea are ready to pull the plug on Conor’s spell at The Valley, and he will be sent elsewhere for the rest of the campaign.

That’s a major blow for Charlton, who saw Conor excel with six goals and two assists in 26 Championship matches this campaign, providing a spark in midfield following Joe Aribo’s move to Gers. Now, Conor will be moving on, but Blues aren’t interested in selling Conor or sending him on a loan-to-buy deal, ruling Burnley and Norwich City out.

Championship clubs will be scrambling for Conor, but the Scottish giants have expressed an interest in signing him. Gers have sent Andy King back to Leicester City, while Greg Docherty could move on, meaning Steven Gerrard may well be in the market for another midfielder.

The 19-year-old midfielder could bring energy and goals to the Gers midfield, and playing under a midfield legend in Steven Gerrard should be appealing to both Chelsea and Conor Gallagher.
