Rangers leading race to sign No.9 Ligue 1 centre-forward

Scottish giants are interested in signing Serhou Guirassy from Amiens. It has been reported that Steven Gerrard’s side are monitoring U20 France international. The report in the French publication has claimed that the Gers have scouted the centre-forward this campaign.

It has also been claimed that the striker is on the radar of Brendan Rodgers’s Leicester City, clubs in La Liga, and Italian trio AS Roma, Bologna and Chievo. Guirassy cost Amiens £5m in transfer fees when they signed him from FC Koln on a permanent contract in the summer transfer window.

Serhou has scored four goals and provided one assist in 13 Ligue 1 games for Amiens so far this campaign. Amiens are 17th in Ligue 1 table at the moment with 16 points from 15 games, while Gers are currently second in the Scottish Premiership table with 38 points from 15 games, just two points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Rangers have impressive consequences in the Scottish Premiership this campaign as they are in a second place in the table. Gers signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Ryan Kent from Liverpool, Filip Helander from Bologna, George Edmundson from Oldham Athletic and Joe Aribo from Charlton.
