Roma started negotiations with 27-year-old Rangers defender

Roma are said to be preparing to sell defender Leonardo Spinazzola to Inter Milan, in a move which could have implications for their interest in Borna Barisic. The Gers defender is a target for the Serie A club, who want an alternative to 34-year-old Aleksandar Kolarov.

And Giallorossi could be ready to step up their interest as Gianluca Di Marzio reports they’re ready to send him Leonardo Spinazzola to Inter Milan. Roma want to include the Italian defender in a swap deal for Matteo Politano, who is being lined-up as a replacement for the injured Nicolo Zaniolo.

The playmaker has made only two Serie A starts under Antonio Conte so far this campaign. Today Borna’s agent has commented on the situation, telling Roma Press: “There still isn’t anything concrete, but let’s see, That’s true. There has been interesting in Barisic, and there has been for a long time, even when his form wasn’t in a place where it is right now.

“Everyone respects the fact you’re talking about the Croatian number one left-back, and they’re a team that has massive respect around the world.
