Roma are ready to offer Cengiz Under a bumper new deal to fend off growing interest from some Premier League sides.
The 21-year-old winger has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in recent weeks, though no move was sanctioned in the January transfer window with Monchi reluctant to let the winger leave.
Cengiz Under has been in superb form this season, playing a direct part in 12 goals in Italian top tier and Champions League combined, leading to the interest from three of English football’s heavyweights.
Calciomercato claims that AS Roma will do all they can to retain the Turkey international’s signature at Stadio Olimpico, however, even if that means tripling his current wages.
Roma are not looking to offload Cengiz Under just yet and potential buyers know they need to offer a huge fee to have any chance of signing him – although there are claims a new deal may include a £45 million release clause but it was also reported that Serie A giants rejected several bids in the region of £55 million.
Meanwhile, Nicolo Zaniolo and Edin Dzeko are also in line for new deals, as is veteran ace Daniele De Rossi.
The 32-year-old Bosnia international’s current deal expires at the end of next season, and Serie A side do not want to lose him on a free transfer.
While the 19-year-old Italian midfielder will be committed to the club until 2024 if he signs the new improved deal worth around £25,000 a week.
