Steven Gerrard set to pen long-term contract with Rangers

Steven Gerrard has agreed on a new deal with the Scottish giants, and the deal will be announced imminently. The former England footballer has extended his stay at Rangers until 2024. The Gers board are happy with what Englishman has brought to the club so far.

In terms of tangible returns, Steven is still trophyless after the latest chance to win the League Cup final went begging. However, one cannot blame the coach for the derby loss as Gers thoroughly dominated the match, and the English tactician got his tactics more or less spot on.

The English manager has certainly prepared a team good enough to challenged Celtic for the trophy. Steven’s impact has also been seen in the transfer market as Gerrard has been able to lure some top talents from the south of the border.

In his short time with Gers, Steven has already been linked with a move to the Premier League as he was linked with Newcastle United in the summer. Even though he is young in his managerial career, he has managed to show Gers that progress has been made this campaign.

Scottish club have also made it to the Europa League in back to back campaigns. Now, they have an excellent chance even to make it to the round of 32.
