Tottenham forward signed five-year bumper contract

Lucas Moura has signed a new five-year contract with Tottenham keeping him

However, with his latest extension, the Brazilian forward is now tied down till 2024 after his representative Cristiano Torelli met in London to renew the deal.

The 26-year-old forward said: “I feel very comfortable in the club and I am very grateful for everything they have given me since my arrival.

“I love to play soccer, and I want to give Tottenham a lot of joy. The expectation for this season is very good.

“The cast is fantastic, and I feel like family really. We have a new stadium, new players, so I think we’ll be strong enough to fight for titles.”

It comes as a reward for the South American’s heroics in the Champions League last campaign, having netted a hat-trick in the semi-final against Eredivisie champions Ajax.

The Premier League club overcame a three-goal deficit – having lost the first-leg at home 1-0 – to defeat the Dutch side 3-2 and progress on away goals.

Lucas Moura’s hat-trick was completed with a dramatic last-minute finish to take his side into their first-ever Champions League final.

Despite the Brazilian’s brilliance Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino left him out of the final to make way for captain Harry Kane – with Liverpool winning the game 2-0.

The former PSG man appeared in 49 matches last season and scored 15 goals.

With Dele Alli injured and no forward signed this summer Lucas Moura, alongside Son Heung-min could be trusted to lead the line alongside Harry Kane.
